Dorothy R. Seaborne, 82, of 25th Street in Columbus, Ind., died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at University of Louisville Hospital.

Daughter of the late Silas A. Tedder and Nettie E. Hamm Tedder, she was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Adair County, Ky.
She married Herman Seaborne on Feb. 12, 1949. He survives.
She was a founding member of Central Heights Church of God. She had been employed at Arvin Industries, retiring in 1994 after 34 years of service.
She enjoyed going on vacations with her siblings throughout the years and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include a daughter, Phyllis Parker of Columbus; three sons, Doug Seaborne (Sara) of Edinburgh, Ind., Wendell Seaborne (Debbie) of Alexandria, Ind., and Wade Seaborne (Rosemary) of Franklin, Ind.; four sisters, Bertha Forrest and Nannie Knifley of Campbellsville, Betty Kilby of Columbus and Mary Ann Talbott of Madison, Ind.; three brothers, Troy Tedder of Columbus, Roy Tedder of Campbellsville, and Jesse Tedder of Columbus; 10 grandchildren, Misty Parker and James Seaborne (Stephanie) of Columbus, Sara Rhoton (Kevin) of Anderson, Ind., Ron Eddelman (Sherry) of Louisville, Ky., Kim Hamlin (Mark) of Roanoke, Va., Justin Seaborne (Christine) of Fishers, Ind., Craig Seaborne (Megan), Amy Fischer and Laura Parker, all of Columbus, and Alison Seaborne of Indianapolis, Ind.; and 12 great-grandchildren, Mia Seaborne, Sam Seaborne, Eddie Seaborne, Max Seaborne, AJ Cruite and Karisma Parker, all of Columbus, Ethan Rhoton, Jackson Rhoton, Tyson Rhoton and Weston Rhoton of Anderson, and Vincent Fischer and Emily Fields of Columbus.
Dorothy was also looking forward to meeting her two new great-granddaughters, due this fall.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Elma Rouse, Celestine Redman and Nora Jewel.
Funeral was Saturday, Aug. 17, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home in Columbus. The Revs. James Walters and Nathan Greene officiated.
Burial was in Garland Brook Cemetery.
