Mrs. Lana Louise Ellison, age 60 of Tazewell, Tenn., was born September 17, 1952, and passed away August 1, 2013, at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn. Lana accepted Jesus as her savior at the age of 19. She was a very faithful member of Blairs Creek Baptist Church where she taught the youth Sunday School Class.
She was Co-Owner/Manager of Family Respiratory Services.
She was preceded in death by her father: Ray Johnston; grandparents: Earles and Hazel Johnston, Johnnie and Nettie Mike; sister-in-law: Charlotte Cobb.
She is survived by her husband: Clarence Ellison; mother: Billie Jean Johnston; daughter: Jeananne Baker and husband Doug; son: Terry Ellison; grandchildren: Ben Woodson Baker, Clayton Douglas Baker, Isaac Ashly Baker and Gideon Earl Baker; sisters: Ginger Beason and husband Roger, Pamela Vannoy and husband Roger; mother-in-law: Opal Ellison; sister-in-law: Brenda Galkiewicz; nephew: Adam Galkiewicz; nieces: Ralynne Gent, Morgane Watkins, Whitney Vannoy and Miranda Gill; and a host of many other loving relatives and friends.
The family received friends Sunday, August 4, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Blairs Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at the Blairs Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Chumley, the Rev. Keith Sandefur and grandson Ben Baker officiating. Music was provided by Roger and Ginger Beason, Clint and Barbara Hatfield. Burial to follow in the Ellison-Baker Family Cemetery.
