Josephine Frey Obituary
Glen Allan
Funeral Mass for Josephine Vondenstein Frey, 93, of Glen Allan will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hollandale. She passed away early Monday morning on October 27, 2014 at her home in Glen Allan, Mississippi. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery, Stoneville, under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mrs. Frey was born on April 6, 1921, in Crowley, LA where she graduated from Saint Michael's Parochial School. In 1946 she married Anthony Jacob Frey, and they moved to the Mississippi Delta in 1950.
She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
Mrs. Frey was preceded in death by her eldest son, Stephen Joseph Frey and her husband, Anthony Jacob Frey. She is survived by her beloved children Leroy (Jobana) Frey of Hollandale; Patricia (Bubba) Rainer of Vicksburg; Sherri Tubertini of Glen Allan; Tony (Anna) Frey of Hollandale; Therese (John) Hood of Vicksburg; Billy (Casheu) Frey of Yazoo City; and Frances Meena of Cornelius, North Carolina; along with fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Frey's seven grandsons - Wade Steinriede, Anthony Steinriede, Larson Frey, John Austin Hood, Hamilton Frey, Jude Frey, and Hudson Frey.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Liz Estes, Debra Brady, Connie Reynolds, and Grace Hospice for the excellent homecare and wonderful kindness extended to Mrs. Frey and her family during her extended illness.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Those wishing may direct memorial donations in Josephine Frey's memory toward the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hollandale or the charity of your choice.
