Betty K. Lawless
Betty Kinard Lawless, 69, went to be with her Lord, December 7, 2012, at Jaquith Care Home as a result of complications of Alzheimer's. Visitation will be Sunday from 1pm-2pm at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Services will be 2pm Sunday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawless, a native of Jackson, graduated from Forest Hill High School where she played in the band and was a majorette. She attended Hinds Jr. College and was a Hinds Highstepper. She married Bill in 1962 and lived in Jackson until they retired in 1988 and moved to Crystal Springs. Mrs. Lawless enjoyed following Ole Miss, where her father played football in the 1930's.
The family would like to thank the staff of Jaquith Care Home for their excellent care. They would also like to thank Sen. Dean Kirby, Rep. Mark Baker and Sheriff Bryan Bailey for their continued support during her illness.
Survivors include her husband, William (Bill) Lawless; son, Tim Lawless (Wendy) of Brandon; Brothers, Jimmy Kinard (Judy) of Terry and Dudley Kinard (Rosie) of Petal; grandson, Wesley Lawless of Brandon.
