Joyce Rogers (Collins) Liddon, 93, died of COPD Friday, January 4, 2013, in Jackson, MS. Family will hold a private memorial service.

A British war bride of Tech Sgt. Russell Collins, USAF, Joyce was born in Manchester, England, November 6, 1919. The couple made their first home near his family in Littlestown, PA, before living around the country as an Air Force family for twenty years. Her favorite home was Sante Fe, NM, where she retired to live with her son Lt. Col. Roger Collins. Upon his death in 2000, she returned to live in Jackson where she had previously been employed at the Colonial Country Club. Ms. Liddon will be remembered for her sense of humor, her energy, and her cheerfulness.

She is survived by her brother Harry Rogers and wife Lovis and their family in England. She is also survived by her son Michael Kent Collins of Jackson and her daughter Rebecca Roxanne Collins of Euless, TX; her grandchildren Patrick Collins of Ewa Beach, HI, Stephanie Collins of Euless, TX, Simon (Noor) Collins, Nathaniel Collins, and Chris (Erin) Collins of Jackson. She was pleased to welcome her great-grandson Leo Atarji Collins to the family last summer.
