Mrs. Baker and Family,
Although it has been more than forty years since I was a student of Dr. Baker, I still remember stories and illustrations from his class, still have a syringe he gave me and I'm grateful for the way he blessed my life. May God bless his soul and all of you.

Mrs. Baker and Suzanne, so sorry to hear about Dr. Baker. I have very special memories of Dr. Baker when he served as Acting Director of the Ms Agriculture and Forestry Experiment Station. He always had a smile everyday and made work a fun place. I especially remember a special dinner at the Bakers, and Nona I still have and use some of your delicious recipes. Also I'm still using my key hanger Dr. B made and love it. May God bless you and your family. Love you, Faye Johnson

My wife and I moved next door to Bryan and Nona in 2011 and only got to spend less than 6 months as neighbors with them before the accident that sent him permanently to Jackson. In that time though we grew to love this sweet couple. I'll never forget Bryan. In the short time I spent as his neighbor I got to hear many of his great stories, we talked almost every day. He even taught me to do some woodworking in his workshop. Thanks, Bryan, I've missed you a great deal, but I know you're in a better place. Stan

Dr. Baker was a true southern gentleman and someone for whom I had the greatest respect. I came to know him through Starkville Kiwanis Club and so enjoyed serving with him in our concessions fundraiser. I always admired his zest for life and learning, even in his advanced years. He always had a smile and enjoyed sharing laughs during our times in the concession stand. Our club has already missed having him here in Starkville. He was a wonderful man.

Dr. Baker, was the greatest teacher, advisor and friend. His loss will be felt forever! He cared enough to come by and visit with my parents in Oklahoma. A tremendous human being that will be missed by everyone. I consider myself lucky to have had Dr. B. as my Masters advisor. We had many visits when I came back to MSU as head of the ASI department. His memory will be cherished, sorry I cannot make it to Jackson on this short notice.
