Delories Sanderson Neaves, age 74, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 29, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will also be Tuesday, November 1, 2011, from noon until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Neaves was born March 10, 1937, in Meridian, MS, to the late William and Helen Davis Sanderson. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and was a retired secretary from Brandon Elementary School of Columbus, MS. Mrs. Neaves was a member of First Baptist Church and the Koinonia Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Neaves.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Neaves of Columbus, MS, son, Robert Yates Neaves, Jr. of Columbus, MS, daughters, Deedra Clapper and her husband Lee of Madison, MS, and Donna Luckey and her husband Carlton of Madison, MS, sister, Billye Morton and her husband Jeff of Brandon, MS, and grandchildren, Daniel Clapper, Ashlee Clapper, and Amber Grace Luckey.

Pallbearers will be Sam Bray, Randy McHall, Larry Rainey, Mike Round, Tommy Southerland, and Ray Cross. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Koinonia Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 829, Columbus, MS, 39703.
