Donnie Walter Lambert of Brandon, Mississippi died the evening of January 2nd, 2013. He was born December 21st, 1938. He spent his formative years in Monticello, MS. Visitation will be Friday January 4th from 6 to 8 in the Parish Hall of St. Luke's Episcopal Church 104 N. College in Brandon and the Requiem Eucharist at 2:00 PM Saturday January 5th at St. James Episcopal Church located at 3821 Oak Ridge Dr. Jackson, MS. Interment will follow at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery.

Donnie graduated from Copiah-Lincoln High School before earning his Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University. He was a faithful Tiger throughout his life.

Donnie was an independent oil & gas producer, but he will be most remembered for his caring and generous nature. He lived to improve the lives of those he loved. His selfless acts drove him to a life full of joy and compassion.

He spent his mornings enjoying coffee with friends and colleagues. His weekends were full of family gatherings valuing every moment with his grandchildren. Donnie spent this time with his children and grandchildren sharing his passions for nature conservation, music and poetry. He was a member of MS Landmen's Association and the Independent Petroleum Association of America and found great pleasure serving as a Communicate of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He will be deeply missed by so many family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Cherry Lambert; his son Todd Lambert and his fiancé Kate Moss; his daughters Lori L. Jaubert and Amanda L. Richardson and their husbands Edward Jaubert and Charles Richardson. He continues to be adored by his five grandchildren Anna Jaubert, Ben Jaubert, Brooks Richardson, Miles Richardson and Gaines Richardson.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dinnie Lambert, Sr. and Beulah Lambert Stamps; his stepfather French Stamps and his brother Dinnie Lambert, Jr.

The family would like to thank the restorative care nurses and Dr. Murphy Martin at Baptist Hospital for providing comfort for Donnie in his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be sent in honor of Donnie Lambert to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, P O Box 1899 Brandon, MS 39043.
