Mary Elizabeth Beasley, 96, of Hattiesburg, passed at her home in Hattiesburg on February 10, 2012, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was one of six children born to the late Thomas and Laura Smith. She graduated from Central High School, married the late James H. Beasley, and lived in Raymond for over 70 years. She was a member of Wynndale Presbyterian Church. Mary Elizabeth was a homemaker and dedicated her life as a beloved wife and mother of four daughters: The late Mary Glynn Hawkins of Pearl, Joann Martin of Natchez, Laurene Windham of Laurel, and Ruth Cain of Hattiesburg. She will be forever remembered and treasured by her children, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, along with countless friends and family who were blessed to have known her. She touched the lives of many people with her smile, laugh, and generosity, as she never met a stranger. Her warmth and kindness was felt by everyone. Friends and family are invited to her funeral service on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at ­­­­11:00am, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, preceded by visitation at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Wynndale Presbyterian Church, 6600 Terry Rd., Terry, MS 39170.
