Naomi Roberts Donohoe, 91, died Wednesday , July 10, 2013 in Bossier City, LA at the Colonial Oaks Guest Care Center. Visitation is 2:00 - 4:00pm Sunday at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS and 9:00 - 10am at the Broadmoor Baptist Church Chapel in Madson, MS. Services are 10:00am Monday at the Broadmoor Baptist Church Chapel with burial at the Lakewood Memorial Park.

Naomi Donohoe was born on February 7, 1922 near Mize, MS to the late Johnnie L. Roberts and Lola M. Roberts. After graduating from Burns High School, she moved to Jackson in 1941 and was employed as a beautician until her marriage to Mike Donohoe in 1947. She was a homemaker and raised three children.

Naomi Donohoe was a faithful member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and was one of the original thirteen charter members. She was active as a Sunday School and Training Union teacher, in the WMU, and the church choir. Her first love was music and she was a faithful member of the church choir for 58 years.

Naomi was a long time member of the Mississippi Federation of Women's Clubs and a volunteer at the VA Medical Center for over twenty years. She was characterized by a steadfast faith, a sweet spirit, and a servant attitude. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own.

Survivors include daughter; Sherry Shows (Gilbert) of Plano, TX; sons; Mike Donohoe (Rita) of Bossier City, LA; and Pat Donohoe (Nan) of Starkville, MS; sister; Bobbie Howell of Dahlonega, GA; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; Roy M. Donohoe, Sr.; three brothers; Lamar Roberts, B. J. Roberts, and Darvell Roberts and three sisters; Ann Astudillo, Wilma Tanner, and Mary Roberts.
