The Guest Book is expired.
Robert Paul Werne, born September 6, 1943, left this world and joined his heavenly Father, parents, older brothers, Emmett Lewis and William Joseph and beloved nephew, Mike, Easter Sunday morning, March 31, 2013. Paul was the sixth of 8 children born to Margaret and Emmett Werne, raised in Memphis, Tennessee.
He graduated from Catholic High for Boys and attended the University of Memphis. In 1977, Paul moved to Jackson to work in the family business and later ventured off on his own opening Action Home Improvements. Paul was father, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him greatly. Always seeing the silver lining in whatever was going on, Paul had a big heart, understood that life was a brief gift from God, and that it should be enjoyed to its fullest. Paul followed in his father's footsteps with his great love for golf. His best day would be enjoying a round on the links.
Paul is survived by daughter, Stephanie, Covington, LA; brothers, Larry (Gloria), Birmingham, AL, Albert (Rita), Greenville, South Carolina and Richard (Pat), Ridgeland, MS; sisters, Maggie Lawson, Canton, GA and Mary Beth Sykes (Howard), Albany, GA; plus many, many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his good friends Tom Bearden, Richard Stephens and Carol Walker.
