Mrs. Kathryn Louise Cain, 75, died Sunday October 24, 2010, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday from the Raymond Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home. Visitation will be between the hours of 5:30 and 7:30 PM Thursday and after 10:00 AM Friday. Interment will follow the service at 2:00 PM in the Sallis Cemetery in Attala County.
Born in Bassfield, she was the devoted wife of Lt. Col. James Cain, who predeceased her. She was particularly proud of being the wife and partner of an Air Force Officer. She moved to Raymond after they retired in 1971 and developed many treasured friends. She was a caring and compassionate mother and grandmother. She was particularly committed to her sister Iris and her children. Kathryn loved to cook and was known for her pecan pies. She found great comfort in her friends at First Baptist Church Raymond.
Survivors include her three sons, Jerry Cain of Madison, Vincent Cain of Raymond and Roger Walter Cain of Huntsville, AL; her grandchildren, Walt Cain, Mary Claire Cain, David Cain, Nancy Ramirez, and Sarah Hodges.; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Iris Roy of Whitter, CA, Frances White of Hope Mills, NC and Barbara Bean of Hot Springs AR; and her brother, Ira Trigg, II of Columbia, MS
