Ella Dee Lamb

Jackson

Ella Dee Lamb passed away April 2, 2012, at Hospice Ministries. She was 90 years old. Ella Dee was born in Dumas, Arkansas. She grew up in Jackson, attending Central High School.

Ella Dee worked at Equitable Insurance in Jackson, Mississippi, for over thirty years. She was a member, most recently, of Briarwood United Methodist, and of West Capitol Methodist Church before that.

Ella Dee had a quick wit and loved tending her flowers. Known affectionately as "Aunt Dee" by three generations of nieces and nephews, she was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by her mother Seddie Lamb, her father James Robert Lamb, her brothers George and Cliff Lamb, and her nephew Don Lamb. She is survived by her nieces Linda Gewin, Gail Hughes, Melinda Burnham, and Rosemary Morrow, her nephew Jimmy Lamb, and her dear friend Barbara Renton.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home, with a graveside service to take place at 11:00 at Thursday, April 4, 2012, at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Hospice Ministries, who so lovingly cared for Ella Dee.
