Cindy Fetzer, 48, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2014.

Visitation is Saturday, March 8, 2014, 4 - 7PM and Sunday, March 9, 2014, Noon-2PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral service is Sunday 2PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon.

Cindy leaves behind her loving husband and high school sweetheart Thomas C. Fetzer Jr.; son Thomas C. Fetzer III; daughter Lindsey Fetzer Courtney (Sidney); two grandchildren Dylan McLeod and Sydney Marie Courtney; father Edward James "E.J." McDill; and three brothers Phillip Wade McDill (Carol), Daniel Edward McDill and David James McDill. She also leaves behind a host of adoring nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Johnson McDill.

Cindy was born September 28, 1965 in Jackson and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. She graduated with honors from Callaway High School in 1983 and married Tom Fetzer on August 3, 1984. She attended Mississippi College on the Presto Scholarship and earned a bachelor's in accounting with honors in 1988.

Cindy was a longtime resident of Brandon and was employed as Finance and Accounting Director for the Mississippi Real Estate Commission for 24 years. She was an active member of the Association of Government Accountants and the Mississippi Association of Governmental Purchasing & Property Agents.

Cindy enjoyed cooking, boating, board games with family and trips to the beach with grandchildren. She will always be cherished by her many friends, co-workers and neighbors for her smiles, hugs and countless loving acts of generosity, kindness and hospitality. Cindy was also appreciated for her 29-year family support involvement in the 172nd Airlift Wing.

One of Cindy's favorite Bible verses was John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
