Paul Stanley Castleman
Castleman, Paul Stanley, age 73, of Dayton, OH passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. Stanley was a gentleman in the truest sense. Stanley was born February 14, 1941 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the late Steve and Virginia Castleman. At a very early age his family moved to Yazoo City, Mississippi. He graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1959, and later entered The Citadel 'Class of 1964'. Stanley recalled, "I was blessed to become a member of Tango Company where I met eight other freshman 'NOBS'. That first day encounter began what turned out to be a beautiful fifty-year friendship. They are some of the finest people I would ever hope to know." He received an MBA from University of Chicago, and later completed the SCMP at Harvard Business School. Stanley's business career included Bluebird Baking Co. and Chicago Pastry Co. (1973-1988). He subsequently applied his entrepreneurial spirit to a career in banking (1988-2014) as Vice President of Fifth Third Bank, Huntington National Bank and finally with LCNB National Bank. He was a Vietnam-era veteran, a three-term elected city council member of Oakwood, Ohio, an active volunteer and a board member of the American Heart Association, Aullwood Audubon Center, and Artemis Domestic Violence Center.
