Michael Scott Eldridge
Michael Scott Eldridge, 32, of Clinton, Mississippi died April 17, 2014. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama and lived the majority of his life in Clinton.
He is survived by his mother, Debbie Eldridge of Clinton, father Jimmy Eldridge and wife Sandra of Jackson, one grandmother, Annie Eldridge of Yazoo City, one brother David and wife Danielle, along with three nephews, Hayden, Luke, and Jonathan of Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Katherine Shropshire of Clinton, paternal grandfather, Philip Eldridge of Yazoo City, and one brother Matthew James Eldridge of Clinton.
Michael attended Clinton Public Schools and Hinds Community College. He was employed by Meadow Oaks Golf Club in Jackson. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He grew up playing baseball, basketball, and football. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. Michael is loved and his warm smile will be missed by all who knew him.
Reverend Harvey Ellis will conduct a memorial service in celebration of his life at Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel at 6011 Clinton Blvd Jackson, on Tuesday, April 22 at 3 pm. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-3. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Alcoholics at 1298 F.O.A. Road, Jackson, MS 39209.
