Muggie Louise Richardson "Aunt Muggie", 91, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was born June 22, 1922 to A.C. and Annie Edwards. Aunt Muggie was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She also worked at the First United Methodist Church Daycare. Aunt Muggie was a 50 year member of Eastern Star. She had a day nursery in her home for many years. She also kept the nursery and taught Sunday school at St. John's United Methodist Church.

Aunt Muggie is survived by daughter Jane R. Holden of Marion, daughter Bessie Mae Fortenberry (Kirby)of Brandon, son William E. Richardson (Mary Anne) of Clinton, Grandchildren: Andrew Richardson (Anna), Edward Richardson, George R. Fortenberry (Brandy), Sandra Fortenberry, and Great Grandsons: Prewitt Richardson, Braxton Fortenberry, and Clifton Fortenberry, brother-in-law Walter Richardson, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years George Richardson, son George Richardson, Jr., and siblings: Bertrand Edwards, Ila Mae Perry, and Gladys Starnes.

Funeral services for Ms. Richardson will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's UMC in Yazoo City. Visitation will be held from 9-10 before the service at the church. Stricklin-King Funeral Home will handle the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John's UMC in Yazoo City, Ms.
