William "Bill" Wyatt, Jr.

William Wayne "Bill" Wyatt, Jr. entered eternal life on May 20, 2014, at 61 years of age. He was born on January 25, 1953 in Yazoo City, Mississippi. His spirit is carried on by his wife of 19 years, Elizabeth Munn Wyatt, his mother, Dorothy Smith Wyatt, his sisters Ann Maranto (Mike), Sandy Tidmore (Art), seven children, Billy Wyatt (Melissa), Callie Wyatt McGowan (Mark), Katie Wyatt Jacks (Hampton), Trey Hurt (Tonya), Anne Hurt Zachry (Mike), Ray Hurt (Ali), and Chris Hurt (Dawn), 21 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William Wayne Wyatt, Sr. and his sister Kathy Wyatt. Bill graduated from Sharkey-Issaquena Academy in Rolling Fork, MS and attended Holmes Community College. He was previously employed by FMC Chemical Company, owned Wyatt Land & Reality and The Dam Store, a convenience and bait shop near Sardis Dam. Bill was a proud Eagle Scout and an avid, lifelong hunter and fisherman. Known for his humor and wit, Bill never met a stranger and was loved dearly by all that were fortunate to know him. Services will be held on Friday, May 23rd at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City, Mississippi at noon with visitation starting at 10:00am. Memorials may be made to Holly Bluff Methodist Church (Attention: Betty Ann Stoner, PO Box 147, Holly Bluff, MS 39088) or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
