Early Franklin Wimberly, 79, died, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at River Oaks Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at Colonial Heights Baptist Church in Ridgeland with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL., with graveside services following at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha, FL. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Wimberly was born on January 25, 1935 in Jackson County, Florida, the son of the late Henry Franklin Wimberly and Ruth Abigail Wimberly. A veteran, he served his country in the USAF during the Korean War. Mr. Wimberly worked for many years as a truck driver for Sears. A former resident of Utah, Mr. Wimberly resided in Rankin County for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and southern gospel music. Mr. Wimberly was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pearl. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Lee Wimberly, brothers, Jim, Harry and Cleve Fiveash and brother-in-laws, Richard Lancaster and Edward Ramsey. Survivors include daughter, Tami Wimberly Ham and husband Kiley of Brandon; grandchildren, Abigail Nicole Ham, Jacob Adam Ham, and Mary Elyssa Ham; brothers, Tom Fiveash and wife Miriam of Marianna, FL; Johnny Wimberly and wife Annette of Mexico Beach, FL and sisters, Myra Lancaster of Port St. Joe, FL and Ruth Ramsey of Austell, GA.
