Mark Edward McLeod, 52, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
Mark was born on April 2, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late David and Melba McLeod. Reared in Pensacola, Fl, Mark graduated from Tate High School and continued his education at Mississippi College, earning both his Bachelor's and Juris Doctorate degrees.
Mark was employed with the City of Jackson, where he served for 16 years as a Special City Prosecutor. He was a member of the Mississippi and American Bar Associations.
Mark was a faithful member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church where he taught 4 and 5 year old Sunday school. An avid University of Florida football fan, Mark also enjoyed scuba diving and camping.
Mark will be remembered most as a loving husband, a devoted father and a cherished brother.
Survivors include: wife, Gia; son, David Anderson, II both of Jackson; daughters, Samantha Angela McLeod and Anna Anderson McLeod both of Madison; sister, Phyllis Hudson of Monroeville, AL; sister, Diane O'Gwynn of Pensacola, FL; nieces, Kathryn and Sydney O'Gwynn and Monica Hudson; nephew, Andrew Hudson; father-in-law, Wayne Eubanks, Sr of Ackerman; and mother-in-law, Patricia Eubanks of New Orleans, LA.
