Bernice Nowell Obituary
Funeral services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko with burial to follow in Carson Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Nowell was a retired owner/operator of Nowell Grocery in Ethel. She also worked many years at Ethel High School and at Lawrin Lamp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Ella Stokes Blailock; and her husband, James Haywood Nowell.
Mrs. Nowell is survived by her daughters, Barbara Wheeless & Ralph, Marie Mitchell & Doyle, Ophelia Mitchell & George, all of Ethel; brother, Billy Blailock of Athens, GA; sister, Mary Moore of Toledo, OH; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Rev. Doyle Mitchell and Rev. Greg Spencer will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
