My dearest sympathies to all Wesley's family and friends. Wesley was in my life for over a year and has left quite an impact on my life. He had a good heart and I miss him terribly. I wish it could have been different but I know he is happy now and in the Lord's arms. I love you Wesley, you will never be forgotten. Please look over us all. Rest in peace.

Wesley was my bestfriend for 8 years. We meet in MS when my mom and I were first stationed there. He was my first friend, and the only person who knew me. Through everything we went through, and everything we taught each other, it doesn't seem like enough. He was always compassionate about everything; life in general was a magnificent wonder to him. Even when things got rough, he always held my hand and said "I'm here. What else do you need?"
The week before he passed, we attended a friend of ours fathers funeral. Wesley held my hand the whole time, and afterward said, "Miranda, don't ever be sad when I go. Just know that it will only mean I will be able to always be with you." Somehow, I knew he knew. But he was never scared. He knew he would go to a wonderful place; a place of love that he had always dreamed of.
I have met only parts of Wesley's family, and that was many years ago. He talked about you more than any of you could imagine. Some nights, when he couldn't sleep, we'd sit up and talk about taking a trip back home, where we belonged.
He's there now, and that makes me happiest.
I love you all, as I have loved him. Especially you, Sterling and Manning. (Manning! I remember how little you used to be. What happened!)
You are all in my prayers and I know that he is watching over all of you, as I know he is me.

I first want to say how deeply sorry I am to hear about Wes. He was a wonderful person, and the world has lost something truly great. Wes actually lived with me in Maryland for a short time, during which I got to know him, and it felt like he was an older brother. I missed him greatly when he left, and I miss him even more now that I know I won't see him again. Again, I just want to express my deep regret and sorrow for his loss. God bless

Ray, Polly and I were greatly saddened when we heard of your loss. I want you and your family to know you will be in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days. I will always remember Wesly , and I can still vizualize him sitting in the sanctuary with Miss Homerline and family during the worship services. That meant a lot to me as a pastor. If you think about it, tell Talmage hello for me. We attended MC together as well as New Orleans Seminary. Ya'll are very fortunate to have him as your interim pastor as you search for a new pastor. I had my other hip replaced back in May. All went fantastically well. May God bless you in these days. (Psalm 46)

Our whole family is so, so sad about Wesley. I will never forget the day that baby Wesley came home to live in the house on Collins, just two houses down from my own house and right across the street from my parents' home. I enjoyed watching Wesley grow up, right alongside my own children, and he was always considered family. Ray and my family spent many happy Saturdays sitting out by my parents' pool watching Wesley, Grey and Chesa, and my nephew Jordy and niece Taylor play Marco Polo and fight ferocious water gun wars. Grey and Wesley were inseparable during those growing up years and we will never forget him. Ray and Nan, we're thinking of you and your families with love and sadness. We so wish we could be there with you in person, but please know that we are definitely there in spirit.

I rememberWwesley as a small boy sitting at the table on Thanksgiving. Everyone is bustlling around finding a place to sit. Wesley is about 6 years old and has only been a member of our family a few months. I noticed Wesley never called me by my name. He always called my husband by his name, Gordon, and he always called my mom and dad Aunt Margaret and Uncle Jimmy but he never called me anything. We all sat down to the table and said blessing and then my aunt says Moopy will you pass the rolls, My grandmother says, Mary Patricia, we need some more ice, My mom say Wally Lou pass the Tea, My dad says Little Girl I don't have a napkin and Billy James says Trish do you want some peas. All of a suddenly it dawns on me, poor Wesley has no idea what my name is because everyone in the family calls me something different. I looked at Wesley and asked him if he know my name and me shrugged his shoulders. I told him I was sorry we confused him and he could call me anything he wanted too. If you know Wesley you know he is just plain ole Wesley, He said can I just call you Mary? We laughed and told him that would be great! Gordon and I loved Wesley very much and considered Him a Special Young Man! He will be Greatly Missed by His family especially these two cousins. Wesley ,tell Grandma James and Papaw James, we love them, I know they were waiting to meet you face to face.
