Walter Ulrey Obituary

Walter David Ulrey, 75, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation services will be held today from 5-8 pm at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2009, in the Baldwin Lee Chapel at 2 pm followed by interment at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Mr. Ulrey was born in Schlater, MS on September 19, 1933. He married Patricia Henson in Christopher, IL on September 4, 1955. They were married for 53 happy years.
Mr. Ulrey served the USAF honorably for 21 years. He served in the Korean Conflict and two tours in Vietnam as an Air EVAC Medic. Upon retirement from the USAF he worked at being a full-time two year college student and held a full-time job at MS Baptist Medical Center. He later worked for Woman's Hospital in Flowood, MS retiring after ten years.
Mr. Ulrey was preceded in death by his parents, David A. and Sarah Sherbourn Ulrey of Eupora, MS; daughter, Gina Ulrey Campbell; grandson (infant), David S. Ulrey; and sister, Alice Ulrey Shaw of Walthall, MS.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Henson Ulrey; sons, William D. Ulrey and Robert W. Ulrey of Pearl, MS; grandsons, Benjamin D. Campbell and Donovan B. Campbell of Brandon; granddaughter, Shannon N. Ulrey of Hattiesburg, MS; and one sister, Mary Ulrey Pickering of Hattiesburg, MS.
