Quitman

Edris Moore Ivy, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS,

surrounded by her family.

Services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2011, at First Baptist Church, Quitman, MS. at 2:00 P M

with Rev. Gene Neal and Dr. Clarence Cooper officiating, with visitation from 12 noon til 2:00PM at the church.

Mrs. Ivy was born July 3, 1920 in Quitman, MS, the daughter of the late William O. and Flora Moore. She

was a graduate of Quitman High School. She worked for the ASCS office in Quitman and after her retirement in1973 she went to work in the Clarke County Tax Collectors office.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Quitman, until moving to Brandon, MS in 2007 to

live with her daughter. For the last Four years she was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son in Law Connie and Larry Salter, Three Grandchildren , Keith Salter& his wife Suzanne, Alan Salter, Susan Stringer and her husband Richard, and five great grandchildren Ryan, Reed& Julianna Salter and Cole and Ella Stringer ; two brothers John Roy Moore and Jackie Moore.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years John H. Ivy. two sisters Miriam Riley and

Homa Watkins and two brothers Billy Moore and Charles Moore.

In Lieu of Flowers a donation may be made to Magnolia Speech School, 733 N Flag Chapel Road
