Audrey E. Kopplin, 95, went to be with the Lord on January 4,2013. She was born in Fall Creek, Wisconsin to Emma and Otto Niebuhr. Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Romaine "Bud" Kopplin of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and her siblings Harlan Niebuhr, Werner Niebuhr, and Gladys Sainty, and sister-in-law Joan Dumond.
She is survived by her children, Thomas Kopplin of Orlando, FL., Richard Kopplin of Scottsdale, AZ., Cherie Maloney (Mike) of Jackson MS. and Debra Wagner (Drew) of Sugar Hill, GA. In addition she leaves behind 6 grandchildren; Angela Kopplin, Kevin Kopplin, Michael Maloney, Sean Maloney (Angela), Alicia Wagner, Aaron Wagner; 9 great grandchildren, and her GREAT granddog Dickens.
She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Carmen Larsen, Coletta Schwartz, and brother-in-law Charles Kopplin (Betty) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Audrey was a beautician by profession and an avid golfer and bridge player throughout her life. She won golf toumaments in Florida, Wisconsin, Georgia and Texas and had bridge groups in three different states. She was known for her zest for life, love of entertaining, unwavering energy, and strong opinions, (which we all loved)!
She and Bud were blessed with an abundance of friends and family across the country. They will always be remembered for their humor, generous spirits, and penchant for style. They were true examples of what living life to the fullest means.
Audrey, with her warm smile and infectious laughter, will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a celebration of life honoring Audrey in Eau Claire, WI later this year.
