Peggy Ann Teel
Peggy Ann Pounds Teel died on May 7, 2013. She was born on January 13, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She lived in New Orleans until she went to Mississippi College where she studied elementary education. After graduation, she moved to Denver, Colorado to teach elementary school. While there, she met the love of her life, John Teel, an Army serviceman. They married on June 7, 1959.
During her teaching career she taught school in Denver, Virginia and Mississippi. She enjoyed teaching and especially loved seeing her students in recent years.
Mrs. Teel was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and enjoyed her Sunday School class and her WMU group. She spent many years teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, organizing the home bound ministry visitation program, and teaching ESL.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and her grandson. She was a wonderful Godly mother and grandmother. Her marriage to her beloved was a perfect Christian example to her children. Her family looks forward to reuniting with her again.
She is greatly loved by her husband, John William Teel, her son, Bryan Teel of Madison (wife, Brenda), her daughter, Wendy Teel Schoonover of Madison (husband, Mark), her daughter Polly Teel Tribble (husband, Bryan "Moose") of Vicksburg, and grandson, Jason Tribble. She is survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
