Robert E. Phebus
Pearl
Robert Eugene Phebus (Bob) went home to his Lord and Savior on June 24, 2013. Bob was born on January 1, 1928 in Mt. Carmel, IL to Gail and Mary Phebus. He served his country in WWII with the occupational forces in Japan. On January 1,1949 he married Martha Garrett who survives him after 64 years together. He is also survived by son, Jay Phebus of Pearl, MS; daughter, Kaye Raybon, her husband, Randy, grandson, Daniel Raybon of Olive Branch, MS; brothers William Phebus (Delma) of Mt. Carmel, IL; Thomas Phebus of Madisonville, KY; Edward Phebus (Bonnie) of Ft. Collins, CO; sister, Mary Jo Deputy of Oakland City, IN; and beloved nieces and nephews.
Bob will be lovingly remembered for his humor, laughter, silliness, twinkle in his eyes, but most importantly his love for the Lord, his family, and friends.
After retiring from Truckers Exchange, Bob enjoyed returning to the office to visit friends there.
He was a member of Community Christian Church, 543 Eldorado Road, Pearl, MS. His church family at Community Christian Church plan a day of celebration of Bob's homecoming on Sunday, July 7, 2013 (his Mom's birthday) at 10:00 a.m All family and friends are welcome.

My heart has a hole in it due to the loss of my brother-in-law & father figure whom I loved dearly. My grown children were reminiscing about his pinching toes and those of you who knew him well will remember those. He may be gone but will never be forgotten.
