Henry Marx died on August 2, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was born September 25, 1931 to Herman and Miriam Frishman Marx and was a long time native of Port Gibson, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and his brother, Harris. He is survived by his wife, Peggie Brown Marx; a special cousin, Celia Starnes, and her husband, Roy; brother-in-law, Allen Brown, and wife, Kathy; brother-in-law, Ovie Brown; brother-in-law, Jerry Brown, and wife, Barbara; brother-in-law, R. D. Brown and wife, Bessie; sister-in-law, Charlene Stokes, and husband, Jerry; and sister-in-law, Cynthia Brown, along with other cousins and extended family.

Henry was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was co-owner of the family business, H. Frishman Dry Goods. He was a member of Anshe Chesed Congregation in Vicksburg, MS., a lifetime member of the Washington Masonic Lodge 3 in Port Gibson, a former member of the American Legion, a thirty-second degree Mason and a former member of the Lions Club of Port Gibson. He was an avid golfer in his earlier years and loved his "Ole Miss" Rebels football and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013, beginning with visitation at Guion Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson at 10:00 a.m. followed by 12: 00 graveside services to be conducted by Lay Leader Richard Marcus at noon in Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.
