Albert Q. "Buddy" Winstead Jr., 74, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in Ridgeland, MS. Buddy was born on December 18, 1938 in Jackson, MS to Mr. A. Q. Winstead Sr. and Mrs. Minnie Bell Owens Winstead. He graduated from Provine High School in 1957 and then enlisted in the Marine Corp. Buddy began his career with Kroger and was vice president of groceries for McCarty-Holman retiring after many years of service.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pearl Kent. He is survived by his wife Margaret McGuffee Winstead, his daughters; Questine Benson (Johnny), Tracey Andrews (Tony), Jennifer Winstead, Kimberly Hargrove (James)and Beth Mullins (Currey), son Mike McGuffee (Sherri), sister Nancy Lee, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 14, 2013 in the chapel of Wright and Ferguson in Ridgeland preceded by visitation beginning at 9:00 AM

The family would like to thank caretaker Mary Joe Mullins, Hospice Ministries and many friends for all of their help during this time.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial be sent to the Anatomical Gift Program at UMC or Hospice Ministries.
