Brandon
Kenneth Box, age 87, went to be with the LORD Wednesday, October 16, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 2:00pm at the church.
He will be dearly missed as he was a man of great integrity, a loving husband and father. He was playfully engaged in the lives of his 12 grandchildren. He always looked for ways to help others in their time of need. He was a lifelong backyard farmer who enjoyed sitting in his swing and looking at all his beautiful plants and flowers. He had a green thumb and could make a dead stick grow.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Gwen Box; children, Patrice Box, Eugene Box, Doug Box (Gwen), Warren Green (Diane), Mark Green (Leanne), and Ellen Fulton (Mark); and 12 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossgates Baptist Church, 8 Crosswoods Rd., Brandon, MS 39042.

I worked with Ken for several years at BellSouth Equipment Engineering in Jackson, Mississippi. I thought a lot of him. My prayers are with the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Ken will be missed by many. He was a wonderful, caring man. We will never foget his and your many kindnessess during daddy's illness and death many years ago. We will always be grateful.
