Henry Sims "Doots" Ables, 85, formerly of Tchula, died April 10, 2014 at the University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Saturday, April 12 from 6 until 8 pm at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 13 at 1:30 pm from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with interment in Pinecrest Cemetery in Tchula.

Mr. Ables owned and operated Henry Ables Body Shop for 35 years before his retirement at which time he moved to Durant.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Lena Ables; daughters, Joan Ellis of Durant; Cathy Wilson (Denny) and Pam Lawshe (Jeff) of Jonesboro, AR; sister, Mary Evelyn Moore of Yazoo City; grandchildren, Bryan Wilson, Lindsey Busby, Whitney Robinson and Brandon Lawshe.

With deepest condolences. We are never prepared for such a deep loss so I hope you find some comfort in the memories & joys you had and know sickness, pain and death that we deal with now will one day be no more for this has been promised to us.
