Loris Ann Cayce Bridges, a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, passed away Tuesday, the 31st of March in her home, of a heart attack.

Loris was born March 18, 1929 in Nashville, Tennessee. She lived many years in Dallas, Texas and became a real estate agent while she was raising her children. Later, she moved to Jackson, Mississippi and actively pursued commercial real estate development. While in Jackson, she developed, owned and managed The Quarter Specialty center. After moving to Ocean Springs in 1981, Loris owned and managed Gulf Hills Resort. In the years since, she successfully co-developed area subdivisions and managed various real estate projects. At age seventy, she earned her high school diploma and a Computer Aided Design Certification.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose "Jack" Cayce and Eugenia Mendoza; her two brothers, Bryce and Billie Cayce and her son, David McCorkle.

Survivors include her step mother, Mattie Cayce; her sisters, Marrice and Andrea; her children, Dee Dee Cogan, Lisa Mueller, Lynn Rhoads, and Tad Bridges; her grandchildren, Wes Rhoads, Janae French, Cayce Maue, Ashley Reynolds, and Tad Bridges II and her great grandchildren, Reece Rhoads, Chase Rhoads, Allyson Maue, Molly Maue, Nola McFarland, Logan McFarland, and Oliver Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be given to the National Parkinson's Foundation.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 3, from 4pm until 6pm with a 6pm memorial service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
