Eleanor Hays, 90, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5-7 PM and Thursday from 10-11 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Thursday at 11 AM.
Mrs. Hays was born on June 29, 1925 to the late, Frank and Dovie Taylor Bailey. She married Lester Eugene Hays, Jr. on September 26, 1947. She also graduated from Birmingham Alabama Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. Mrs. Hays was a proud member of Forrest Hill Homemakers Club, and enjoyed fishing, travelling, and Saints football.
Mrs. Hays was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Curtis Bailey.
She is survived by her sons, Phil Hays (Janie) of Fort Worth, TX, Mike Hays (Renea) of Brandon, Johnny Hays (Charlotte) of Brandon; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riggs Manor Retirement Community, 2300 Seven Springs Rd., Raymond, MS 39154.
