Mr. Odis "Elmo" Davis, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his home in Brandon. Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 4-7 PM and on Wednesday from 9-11 AM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 AM Wednesday followed by interment at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Davis was born on September 4, 1929 in Flora, MS to the late, Spurgeon H. and Louise Dillon Davis. He served his country in the Korean War as a US Marine. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Brandon. Mr. Davis worked for Nucor Steel and Hertz Rental. He will be remembered by his family and coworkers as a hard worker and provider.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbye Jean Davis; mother, Louise Dillon Davis; father and step-mother, Spurgeon H. and Lena Davis; step-son, David Earl McCollum; brothers, David "Snap" Davis, Leo Davis, and Louis Hamil; sisters, Geraldine Davis Parker and Mildred Wynn.

Elmo is survived by his son, Donnie Davis and wife, Leesa of Abilene, TX; daughter, Dianna "D.J." Waite and husband, Terry of Brandon, MS; brothers, J.W. "Dub" Davis and Paul Hamil; sister, Beverly "Bootsie" E. Davis Kehle; grandchildren, David Phillips and wife, Cassandra of Brandon, Tristan Leigh Wilkinson and husband, Shayne of Brandon, KaLee Dawn Shelton and husband, Jerry of Navarre, FL, Christopher Chase Davis of Brandon; and 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Baptist Church, 1255 Trickhambridge Rd., Brandon, MS 39042.
