I was a colleague of Louis at Esso International in New York in 1968/69. I just learned of his passing in the Harvard Law alumni magazine. He was a wonderful man. I have fond memories of Louis, Frances and Sissie. I can well imagine how much he is missed.

The World has lost, too soon, a Great Man and Outstanding Leader in our Community. Though Buddy achieved so much in his life, he remained a humble and caring person. We have lost a dear Friend.

I will always remember that Mr. Watson stood with me as an Elder in the church when my son, Tyler Hocutt, was dedicated and baptized as an infant at Covenant Presbyterian. Mr. Watson always asked about Tyler and checked on him throughout the years. He was an excellent example of a Christian in everything he did. I will miss him, however, I have the promise of spending eternity with him and the others who have gone before us. He's singing praises in Heaven today!

I enjoyed practicing law with Louis. He was such a patient mentor to many and a true joy to be around. I have also had the pleasure of working with (and against) his sons, Louis and Ben. There wasn't a time I met with him that he didn't mention his family, and the love he had for you was always transparent. My thoughts are with you and your family, and I hope knowing how well respected and loved he was brings you peace. As many have said, he was a true southern gentleman and will be greatly missed.
