ROGERS ELIZABETH K. "BETTY" ROGERS (nee Hines), aged 91 years, dearly beloved wife for 67 years to Edward P., D.D.S., loving mother of Kathryn Sanson (husband Michael), Edward P., Jeffrey M. (deceased) and Mary Sue (fiancé Robert Cigany), cherished grandmother of Michael E. (wife Dena) and Scott R. Sanson, fond great-grandmother of Michael and step-great-grandmother of Maria and Victoria, cherished sister of Jack Hines (deceased), treasured aunt and grand-aunt to many. Betty was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Ohio University in Athens, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She assisted her husband with his dental practice for over 50 years by handling all the accounting and tax preparations. Betty and her husband were long-time members of Acacia Country Club. They enjoyed golf, dancing, and bridge, which Betty excelled in and won many awards. Betty was a kind and loving woman who was devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. Out shining her many accomplishments are her understated elegance, unassuming confidence, strength of character and gentle personality enjoyed by all who knew her. Contributions in memory of Betty may be made to a charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Gesu Catholic Church at 9:30 AM. Private burial in All Souls Cemetery.
