Doesn't seem that long ago when we shared rides to school and events together in warm friendship.
Just received notice of Melissa's passing.
May God's strength and peace be with all of you as we reminisce the memorable times shared with her. She leaves a smile in the hearts of those she touched.

Pat, when a loved one becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Melissa was always a treasure to you and the boys, she was such a sweet girl, young woman and lady. Always with a smile on her face and so easy to talk with. Losing a child has to be the worst thing to deal with but, because you are religious, your trust in God will help. My deepest sympathy to Melissa's entire family..Melissa and I worked together at St. John West Shore Hospital in the 90's; she was a joy to be around and great at her job! I still have a copy of the beautiful poem she wrote for her beloved Dad when he passed away.

Mrs. Beal, Scott, Brian and family,
Melissa "Beal" rests now in both of her loving Father's arms, "Jim Beal's" and of course, the arms of Jesus. I will forever hold close in my heart Melissa's smile, laugh, her ability to make a new friend instantly (which actually, caused us to miss our flight from Detroit to Miami back in 1990), her unselfish ways when it came to lending an ear or a shoulder to cry on. My absolute fondest memories of my years in Cleveland, whether it be my time at LHSW, the times spent on Middle Bass, or when Melissa and I lived together, these wonderful memories all include Melissa in some way. We shared so many laughs! She made our wedding extra special. I will forever be grateful to God for blessing me with such a wonderful and dear friend. My prayers and condolences to the friends and family of Melissa. So sad she has passed at such a young age. I went to school with her at LW and was two grades behind her. She will be remembered fondly and we'll be reunited with her once again in our Father's kingdom. Rest in peace, Melissa and may God bring peace to the family during this difficult time.
