Charlotte Williams Dawson went to Heaven to be with Her Lord Jesus Christ, Tuesday AM, February 19, 2013. Services were held at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland Texas, Saturday February 23rd at 2:00 PM with burial at Cleveland City Cemetery.
Charlotte Jasmine was born in Locust Bayou, Arkansas, December 6, 1932 to Carl Farris and Cynthia Larie Williams. She passed away February 19, 2013. The family moved to Cleveland, Texas in 1950, when her father Carl moved his sawmill, (Williams Lumber Company), "lock stock and barrel", to Cleveland. Charlotte remained in Arkansas to graduate from Hermitage High School before moving to Cleveland, where she went to work at the sawmill as payroll manager. In 1975, she met and married Jim Dawson from Houston, Texas and became a full time homemaker. Their 38 anniversary was Monday February 25. She, Jim and their son Mike became members of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, Texas in 1976, where they both sang in the church choir for many years. Charlotte had God given musical talent. She had an angelic voice. She was also a self taught pianist. She had many passions including deer hunting, fishing, bowling, crocheting and gardening. In her fierce pursuit of life she was a determined perfectionist in everything she did. Her deer hunting prowess and success were unequaled. Her crocheted table cloths and afghans won numerous championship awards at Cleveland Annual Dairy Days and Montgomery County Annual Fairs including "Best of Show" and "Grand Champion Arts And Crafts" three years running, 1993, 1994, 1995. First Baptist Church in Cleveland, drafted her to teach a crocheting class to members. Her bowling accomplishments and championship trophies are too numerous to list. Charlotte could go to the neighboring woods in the middle of the Summer, dig up wild trees, shrubs and flowers, bring them home, plant them in her yard and they would grow and thrive to maturity. God gave her a natural "green thumb". Over the years she completely landscaped her 3 acre yard.

On our thirty eighth wedding anniversary
February 25, 2013
Let me tell you just some of the reasons I love you...
You came into my life at the time I needed someone to love me, you lifted me up when the rest of the world had let me down, you took me into your private world, wrapped your arms around me and gave me warmth when I was cold, you encourage me when I try, you praise me when I am successful, you understand and comfort me when I fail, you offer counsel when I have doubts, you are happy when I am happy, you laugh when I laugh, you cry when I cry, thank you for being my beautiful, precious wife, my soul mate and my best friend, I would be nothing without your love and presence in my life, thank you for the thirty eight years you have loved me, and allowed me to love you... As the words of Ann Murray's song say's "You are the Wind beneath my wings."
I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART-Jim Dawson
