WALLACE — Mrs. Rebecca Lanier Eaddy, 74, passed away on Dec. 22, 2014 at her residence. The funeral will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, at Wallace Presbyterian Church conducted by Dr. Philip Gladden. There will be a private family burial following the service at Fussell Family Cemetery in Rose Hill. Visitation will be 12:30-2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 27, at Wallace Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Taylor and husband, Don of Faison and Elizabeth Bradsher and husband, Donnie of Clinton; a daughter-in-law, Paula Eaddy of Wake Forest; two granddaughters, Lea Taylor of Faison and Emily Brown of Clinton, and three grandsons, Andrew Taylor of Faison, Steven Eaddy of Wake Forest and Michael Eaddy of Wake Forest. Rebecca was born on July 25, 1940 in Duplin County, to the late Lloyd Hatch and Ruby Lea (Wells) Lanier and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marion Eaddy, Jr., her son, Joseph Marion Eaddy, III and a brother, Benjamin Lanier. Rebecca was a member of Wallace Presbyterian Church and was very faithful and active in women of the church. Casket Bearers will be Tim Jones, Blake Wallace, Don Taylor, Donnie Bradsher, Andrew Taylor and Steven Eaddy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Fund at Wallace Presbyterian Church 205 West Main Street, Wallace, or the Fussell Family Cemetery c/o Horace Fussell PO Box 237 Rose Hill, NC 28458.
