Frances Sutton

Frances R. Sutton, 78

NEWTON GROVE — Frances Romell Sutton, 78, passed away at home on Sunday, September 22, 2013 surrounded by her family. God sounded the trumpet and called her home.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at Manly Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Romell was born on March 10, 1935 to the late James and Margaret Winders. Mrs. Sutton was raised in Mount Olive where she met and married the love of her life of sixty three years Mr. Elbert Sutton. They moved to Newton Grove where they made their home and were blessed with six children. Romell loved God, life, friends, traveling, gardening but most of all, she loved her husband, children and her home. She loved to cook for her husband and did so right on up to the end of her battle. She stayed home and raised her children. Mrs. Sutton loved her children and made sure they always had everything. She worked hard along with Mr. Sutton to have a home for their children and never let them down in any way. She will always be the best wife and mother in the world to her family. Her love for God and family knew no boundaries. Heaven is a happier place today because of Mrs. Sutton being there.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by her husband Mr. Elbert Sutton; daughters, Brenda S. Thornton and Sue Sutton of Newton Grove and Kay S. Fields of Mount Olive; sons, Jimmy E. Sutton and Mac Sutton of Mount Olive; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and her beloved pets Miss Kitty, Snowball and Bob.

She is preceded in death by son Claxton Sutton.

The family will receive friends at West & Dunn Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Manley Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 619 Manley Grove Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.
