Arthur "T" Lee, 64

DUNN — Mr. Arthur Tart "T" Lee, 64, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 at Wake Medical Center. He was born in Harnett County on Aug.23, 1949 to the late James Theodore and Lois Tart Lee. He was preceded in death by a son, James Christopher Lee, and a grandson, Gage Tart Lee.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. John Gupton, the Rev. Floyd Ray and the Rev. Virgil Murphy. Burial will follow in the Lee Family Cemetery in Newton Grove.

T. was a 1967 graduate of Midway High School. He attended Sampson Technical Community College before being drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was married 26 years to Rose W. Lee. He was also a farmer for over 45 years and received the Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 1979. He was co-owner of the Sampson Gin Company in Newton Grove and a member of American Legion Post 59.

He is survived by two sons, Arthur Cale Lee and wife Sharlie, and Kevin Lee; a sister, Bethel and husband Bill; two grandchildren, McCalyn Rose Lee and Christian Wade Lee; and a niece, Monica Lee Hall all of Dunn.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
