Freddie H. Vann, 74
CLINTON – Mr. Freddie Harold Vann (Coonie), 74, of 2093 Parker Memorial Road, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Mary Gran Nursing Center.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17 at Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2137 Odom Road, Clinton with the Rev. Michael Oliver and the Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Interment will follow in the Parker Family Cemetery in Clinton.
Mr. Vann, born in Sampson County, was the son of the late Elliott Lee Vann and Mattie Vastie Waters Vann and was the husband of Hattie Jane Parker Vann. He was a farmer, a member of Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church, and a member of the Ol' Lightnin' Rods Car Club. He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Vann, and two sisters, Rebecca Vann Royal and Marie Vann Edwards.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hattie Jane Parker Vann of the home; three daughters, Cynthia Vann Brinkley and husband, Bill, Debbie Vann Alphin and husband, David, Amy Vann Fields and husband, James, all of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Alex Brinkley, Savannah Brinkley, Van Alphin, Kane Alphin and wife Santana, Jacob Alphin, Thomas Fields, Samuel Fields, and James Preston Fields and wife, Katherine; five brothers, Sam Vann and wife, Linda, Frank Vann and wife, Cherry, Johnny Vann and wife, Rose, Paul Vann and wife, Diana, and Ralph Vann and wife, Jean, all of Clinton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 16 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at the home.
