Marion D. Faircloth, Jr., 85

ROSEBORO — Mr. Marion Devotion Faircloth, Jr., 85, died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Autumn Wind Assisted Living in Roseboro.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Rev. Hampton Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery.

Mr. Faircloth was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Marion Devotion and Flossie Autry Faircloth. He was a member of Autryville Baptist Church and the Roseboro Masonic Lodge # 585 A.F.& A.M. He worked as an Engineer.

He is survived by: his wife, Inez Bullard Faircloth; son, Jim Faircloth of Roseboro; step-daughter, Lawanda Bullington of Southport; step-son, Henry Bullard of Dallas, Texas; sister, Peggy Williams of Bowie, Md.; three brothers, Worth A. Faircloth of Roseboro, Fred A. Faircloth of Autryville and Oscar L. Faircloth of Marco Island, Fla. and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
