Dorothy H. Lane, 77

CLINTON — Mrs. Dorothy Hall Lane, 77, of 1959 Beulah Road, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Kitty Askins Hospice Care in Goldsboro, with her family by her side.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m. at Clinton Community Church with Pastor Dwight Dunning officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Dorothy was born in Union Springs, Alabama on June 29, 1936 to Gilbert and Erah Lou Hall. She spent her working career of 38 years with Lundy Packing Company in Clinton and was a faithful member of Clinton Community Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Anita Honeycutt Lane of Clinton; two grandsons, Jonathan Lane and wife, Sarah, and Justin Lane both of Clinton; one great-granddaughter, Kenner Elizabeth Lane; and three sisters, Lizzie L. Welch of Georgia, Ruby F. Kilpatrick of Alabama, Cheryl W. Norrell also of Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Charles Lane; parents, Gilbert and Erah Lou Hall; sisters, Annie Pearl Faircloth, Betty Lou Woodall, Shelby Jean Sykes; brothers, Gilbert R. Hall, Jr, Billy Simon Hall, William Henry Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Care, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
