Hazel H. Dale, 89

CLINTON — Mrs. Hazel Marie Hall Dale, 89, of 5115 Bearskin Road, died on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Freedom Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Fortner and the Rev. Ray Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Dale was born on January 14, 1925 in Sampson County to the late Evander and Virginia Sessoms. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday School teacher and was an active member of the WMU. She was also an active member of the Extensive Community Association for 50 years. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Clawson Dale of the home; five children, Jackie Vann of Monroe, Blynda Pivavarnik and Janet Haid both of New Jersey, Archie Davis Hall and wife, Judy of Clinton and James Michael Hall and wife, Betty Sue of Turkey; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Freedom Baptist Church, 2099 Tyndall Bridge Road, Salemburg.
