Edward T. Owens, 64

CLINTON — Mr. Edward Thomas Owens, 64, of 409 Concord School Road, died on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Elizabeth Baptist Church with the Rev. John Hobbs officiating.

Mr. Owens was born on Dec. 7, 1949 in Sampson County to the late Franklin J. and Annie Marie Faircloth Owens. He is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Kay Shipp Owens; and one brother, Linwood Owens. He worked as a farmer.

Mr. Owens is survived by: two sons, Frank Owens and wife, Devan of Clinton and Timothy Owens and wife, Tamica of West Virginia; four grandchildren, Caroline Marie Owens, Edward Sabin Owens, Lila Kay Owens and Evan Franklin Owens, due in July; and one brother, John Owens of Clinton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 4 to 4:45 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elizabeth Baptist Church, 1481 Fleet Cooper Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
