Ruby Crumpler T. Vann, 91

CLINTON — Mrs. Ruby Crumpler Tew Vann, 91, of 3461 Roseboro Highway, died Monday, July 7, 2014, at The Magnolia in Clinton.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 10, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with the Reverend Dickey Crumpler officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery on Grady Tew Lane, off Peavine Road, in Clinton.

Mrs. Vann, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Charles Stewart Crumpler and Bertie Mae Spell Crumpler. She retired from Hamilton Beach and enjoyed cooking and quilting. Mrs. Vann was predeceased by a daughter, Jackie Tew Elliott.

She is survived by a son, Jimmy Tew of Clinton; two daughters, Susan Thornton of Clinton and Kathy Olive of Apex; a brother, Charlie Crumpler of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at the home of her son, 2294 Hobbton Highway, Clinton.
