Ann C. Simmons, 62

CLINTON — Mrs. Ann Carolyn Simmons, 62, of 119 Pike Drive, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m.Thursday, Aug. 21 at Clinton Community Church, 1901 Sunset Ave., Clinton, with the Rev. Dwight Dunning, the Rev. Wilda Faircloth and the Rev. Beth Stephens Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Simmons, born in 1951 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Lonnie Graham Smith and Hazel Smith Draughon. She was a member of the Clinton Community Church and an employee with Walmart Pharmacy for 15 years. She was preceded by a sister, Brenda Sullivan; and a brother, Charles Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Clifton Simmons, Jr.; three daughters, Cynthia S. Finney and husband, Mike of Clinton, Karen Holland and husband, Brandon of Clinton and Angela Bradshaw and fiancé, Vito Di Pinto of Clinton; grandchildren, Matthew Bradshaw and Caroline Holland; sisters, Joyce Maxwell of Clinton and Gail Strickland of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
