Masonic Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday August 7, 2014, at The Chapel 1500 Thornton St. Clyde Davis will officiate. Alfred Bryant, Gabriel Bryant, Brian Vickers and Francisco Rodriguez will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens (Garden of Honor) with military honors presented by the US Army Honor Guard.
AC was born June 21, 1915, to Alfred Conley and Sara Susan "Sudie" (Sasser) Bryant in Hereford, TX.
He moved to Clovis in 1929 and graduated from Clovis High School in 1932. He married Eva Ruth Boaz, June 19, 1938, in Clovis, NM. AC worked at Fox Drug, Mac's Drive In in Artesia, and the Silver Grill. He owned and operated Foxy Drive In from 1956 until he retired in 1988. He was a member of Clovis Lodge #40 AF&AM for 73 years, Honorary Past Master of Scottish Rite (KCCH), Chapter "Dad" of Clovis DeMolay over 30 years and was an Elder and member of First Presbyterian Church. A.C. served on the US Army during WWII stationed in the China-Burma-India Theatre.
Survivors include his son, Chris (Lola) Bryant of Clovis, NM; five grandchildren, Lora (Francisco) Rodriguez, Mary Ann (Brian) Vickers, Alfred, Gabriel, and Cachi Bryant; and ten great-grandchildren, Faith, Veronica, Francisco, Jacob, Catherine, Joseph, Isabel, Hannah, Danny and Gregory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Sudie; and his wife, Eva and his loving companion in later years, Marge Webb.
