Service for Isaac "Ike" Wilcox Age 83, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Coffman of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in the Bovina Cemetery. Ike died January 14, 2014, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born April 24, 1930, in Sayre, Oklahoma to Bill and Bethel Wilcox. He married Gail Landers in Clovis, New Mexico on March 31, 1957.

Ike moved to Muleshoe from Oklahoma Lane in 1962. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He farmed for many years and enjoyed raising Paint horses and white faced cattle. Ike was a member of the Paint Horse Association and a past president and vice-president of the Bailey County Gin Board. He also grew soy beans for the Japanese. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe. Ike was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wayne Wilcox and Alan Ray Wilcox, grandsons, Aaron Wilcox and Chad Bales.
Survivors: His wife, Gail; son, Rick Wilcox and his wife, Vada of Dimmitt, TX; daughters, Sheila McCleod and her husband, Mac of Littlefield, TX and Ginger Metcalf of Temple, TX; sisters, Wilma June Houston of Yreka, CA, Willa Mae Walters of Sierra Vista, AZ and Ruby McCormick of Clovis, NM; brother, Phillip Wilcox of Sallisaw, OK; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
